Overview

This is the first all inclusive hotel I have stayed in. Whilst we did not, perhaps, take full advantage of this, there was more to it that the drinks available. We enjoy Paphos, and it was good to return after a five year break.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

RE Covid, we did not notice any precautions, although there were a number of masks being used at Paphos airport. My review of the hotel as follows: In September 2023 we had a very enjoyable stay at the Olympic Lagoon in Paphos, Cyprus. We had not stayed in this hotel on our previous visits to Paphos but I can honestly say this has to be the best hotel that I have stayed in. Thanks to Ali from Travel Counsellors for suggesting it, when I would have gone to a hotel we had stayed at previously. From when we checked it (minus my wheelchair, but that was not any fault of the hotel) and throughout our 2 weeks stay we found that……. All staff were courteous and helpful. We found the restaurant to have a super choice of food. Although we did not use them, there are 'specialised ' restaurants to choose from also. The evening entertainment was, I have to say, spectacular. We found the grounds to be extremely well kept and spotless of rubbish. Very importantly to me, they were also wheelchair friendly (as was the inside space of he hotel) When required the fact there were five lifts to get between floors was really good and we rarely had to wait long for one. The Staff In the restaurant were extremely courteous and helpful. Those that we remember were Sarbjit Singh – he was really pleasant and engaged in conversation. Doina was also very pleasant. Indeed all staff we encountered at the restaurant area were. I think this was one of the major factors that we did not try out the ‘specialist’ restaurants within the hotel. One could sit either inside or out at the restaurant. We only ate once outside. During the day, we also found the staff who looked after us outside very helpful. Special mention to Claris for this. For our room, Svelta kept things right in our room, whilst Chiring looked after our towels and chocolate Later on In the evenings we regularly went along to the evening entertainment and were well looked after the staff here, Tomas being one of them who looked after us. The hour’s evening show, which included he Greatest Showman and a Queen tribute put on by the team was very professional and gave entertainment of a really high standard. Our accessible room was really good and very spacious. However I did have issues with the bathroom. I found the sink too high for use from a wheelchair, the handrails at the side of he toilet had not been put in place. And there was a mix up with the additional equipment that I had to hire to make the room more ‘disabled friendly’ I feel that for a hotel of this standing I should not have to hire additional equipment to meet disability requirements but that may jus be me. Al in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Olympic Lagoon Resort in Paphos. So much so, my 'better half' wishes to return
