Founded in 1996, Opera Holland Park is an opera company with a unique voice. Based in Kensington, we present a summer opera festival of fully staged productions in one of the most beautiful parks in the Capital. Situated in the beautiful surroundings of Holland Park, our covered venue is the perfect place to enjoy critically acclaimed opera in the heart of London. Opera Holland Park is a year-round commitment to excellence in opera, centred around an extraordinary two-month summer festival in one of the most beautiful spaces in the capital.

Disabled Access Information Provided by Opera Holland Park

Disabled Access at Opera Holland Park

Access to the theatre site is step-free via both the East and West Gates. There is a short hill with a steep gradient at the West Gate, so the East Gate is most appropriate for those using a self-propelled wheelchair. There is level access to the bar, Box Office and programme desk. The East Deck and Dutch Garden Lounge picnic areas are accessible by ramp, as well as The Ensemble Bar and all toilet facilities, including a unisex accessible toilet. There is a ramp into the auditorium at the front on both sides. Access to rows AA in the side blocks of the auditorium is step-free, and there is one small step to row A in the centre block. Four wheelchair spaces are available in row AA of the auditorium – two on each side, all with an accompanying carer seat. Please see the Access tickets and booking section here for more information on how to book these. There is a short flight of stone steps leading to the central gate of the theatre. The Terrace picnic area is accessible by a short flight of uneven stone steps. The Mezzanine picnic area is up two flights of carpeted steps and down a further short flight of steps. There are no hand rails on the seating stand inside the auditorium, but our Front of House team can assist you to your seat.
