    Excellent

Paisley Abbey is a historically significant building in Paisley. The volunteer staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. There are ramps in place to access all areas on the ground floor. There is information through the ages on boards as you walk round the ground floor with lots of pictures. It has a small café serving hot and cold drinks, icecream and cakes to the right of the entrance which is accessible for wheelchairs and a gift shop.

There are ramps throughout the ground floor of this 800 year old building making it completely accessible for a wheelchair user. There are plenty of pews where you can stop to take a rest.

We were given a very warm welcome from the volunteers. Their knowledge of the history of the Abbey was excellent and they were happy to chat. There are guided tours on a Tuesday and Thursday which last an hour. We spoke with Niall who was very helpful and made us most welcome.
