I along with my husband Bob and or my PA’s visit the Palace Theatre regularly either to watch shows and/or to have a cup of coffee and a slice of cake at 19 to 20, I am a full-time electric wheelchair user due to cerebral palsy, so I’m sure you can imagine having good access for patrons with disabilities is crucial.

The Palace Theatre has one of the most excellent disabled toilets in the whole of Newark in my opinion, there is so much space to move around and they have got a superb sink, which enables me to rinse out my urine bottle after use, please be aware urine is not poured down the sink, the sink is just used to wash it out to try and get rid of any nasty smells!

Whenever I visit the Palace Theatre in Newark, I’m always made to feel incredibly welcome by all the staff and volunteers, I visit there so regularly in fact that I know all the staff and volunteers on first name terms, I strongly believe that this is due to their warmth, expertise professionalism and their kindness. Whenever I make suggestions on how services could be improved, they will listen and if they can they will act upon it to find a suitable resolution.
Additional Information
To summarise, the Palace Theatre Newark is excellent for people with disabilities learning or physical, everyone is welcome with open arms so that they get the best experience possible when visiting, keep up the good work everybody, you’re doing an excellent job.
