Penblaith Barn is a 5-Star, award-winning, luxury self-catering holiday cottage in South Herefordshire with eight bedrooms sleeping up to eighteen guests. A new addition in 2010, Penblaith Barn, like Trevase Granary, is a traditional stone barn conversion that combines 18th century character with 21st century luxury and style. Just four miles north of Monmouth, the cottage offers an ideal large venue for family gatherings, reunions and group holidays. The games room, complete with table football, table tennis and a pool table, as well as other outdoor games equipment, allows our guests to make full use of an extensive garden. Overlooking magnificent views towards the Cotswolds, a paved patio runs the entire length of the barn, with a hot tub and barbecue perfect for an unforgettable rural retreat.

Disabled Access at Penblaith Barn

The door from the Car Park to the entrance hall is 100 cm wide and is accessed by a small ramp. The entrance hall with oak staircase has access to the TV lounge on one side and the lounge to the other. From the lounge the kitchen, downstairs cloakroom, dining room and room for the less able (Plum tree suite) is accessed. All living rooms have stone flooring and rugs but none are in the passageways. The passageways and doorways are all at least 80cm wide (mostly 100cm wide). There is a ramp from the dining room to the corridor accessing the downstairs bedroom and stairway to Apple tree and Chestnut tree suites. From this downstairs corridor there is a door leading to the outside patio. From the dining room and entrance hall the front patio can also be reached through double doors (all ramped).

Accessible parking at Penblaith Barn

The Car Park is level, with space for around 16 cars and is situated directly by the front door. The Car Park lighting at night is by remote sensors that come on automatically.

Toilets features at Penblaith Barn

There is a downstairs cloakroom off the dining room with a door width of 100cm. Plum Tree suite, which is situated on the ground floor, has a wet room with power shower and there is a plastic chair to use. There are grab rails in the shower room in the positions which were deemed suitable by the Assessor. There is specialist non-slip flooring. The bedroom is carpeted.

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
