We are a 4 star guest house in Thurso. Our beautiful, listed building has very spacious rooms with contemporary fixtures and fittings. We are especially proud of our disabled access room which has been awarded the highest possible, Category 1 by VisitScotland. Conveniently located with ample off-road parking, the centre of town and the beach is a short stroll away. We offer a warm welcome, comfortable bed, refreshing power shower and hearty breakfast.

Amazing guest house

This guest house ticks all my boxes as it's totally wheelchair accessible - we had a lovely room called Cairnmore which was huge and a lovely shower which makes things so much easier. Choice of breakfasts is good and all the produce is locally sourced and cooked beautifully. The Guest house is run by Liz and her niece Lisa and they are so friendly and knowledgable of the area and places to go too. We come back here annually as they make us feel at home and totally welcome - would definitely recommend this guest house for anyone with mobility issues needing somewhere to lay there head - beds are top notch too. Free WIFI for all that need it.

Disabled Access Information Provided by Pentland Lodge House

Disabled Access at Pentland Lodge House

There are no steps from car-park to shower (or in between). All doors are wide but manual. Our very spacious ground-floor, disabled access room has a superking size double bed that can be split into two singles leaving plenty room form wheel chair access. The double power shower is floor entry and the usual grab rails throughout the en suite. The room can be viewed on our website - it is called "Cairnmore".

We have a large car park around the house and you can park outside the front door. The car park is gravel but we are happy to help if this is a problem.

There is a ground floor public toilet with no steps. It is spacious but has no grab rails.

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
