Piccadilly Gardens is a small public green space, with a play park and open areas where people can exercise, eat their lunch, or kick a ball around. There's also a small row of street food vendors, though their hours are quite varied. Further down the street, you'll find rows of shops and the Arndale Centre.
Disabled Access In and Around
Average
The access is level both through and around the green, with flat slabbed paths. I was able to self-propel my wheelchair through the gardens with no issues, despite how busy the area is. There's plenty of seating, though many people were sitting on the steps.
Parking & Transport
Good
Piccadilly Gardens and Market Street Metrolink are close by, offering two easy and accessible routes to the gardens. I didn't see any local parking, but the area is served by the 74, 76, 76A, 216, 230, and 231 bus services.

Additional Information
My research showed a lot of comments about Piccadilly Gardens being an unpleasant place to visit, particularly at night. I didn't find this to be the case, but I can only account for my own experience. It's not a place that I'd suggest trekking all the way to Manchester for, but I found it a pleasant spot to stop during my trip around the city. I particularly enjoyed the large layered tree sculpture, which provided a home for resting pigeons."
