Comic Con Aberdeen. Great event. Extortionate parking and problems with toilets

I went to Comic Con in Aberdeen for the first time this weekend. I previously visited for a gig just after P&J opened and was very disappointed, I definitely wouldn’t return for a gig as no changes were made, but I thoroughly enjoyed comic con and will return to that

Disabled Access In and Around

Excellent

It was all flat and on one floor which was great! All doors were kept open so it was really easy to get around. I went in the afternoon when it is a bit quieter which was much better. The panel area is much better than Edinburgh comic con as seen in the photos, wheelchair users and those who cannot climb stairs sit at the front without inhibiting anyone else’s view and it was a much better, easier, and accessible system

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle

I was really disappointed with the parking, it was unclear where to go at first, when we did get parked it was a long road to the venue and with a bladder condition following a 90 min drive this was a nightmare! It was flat, but there were obstacles to prevent cars that were tight to get through. I was only there 4 and a half hours, took 10 mins to figure out the parking and it cost £15! It’s a long way to walk from the disabled bays

Accessible Toilets

I was, again, very disappointed in the toilets. When I went in, I was going back and forward and all toilets had people in them- because they aren’t radar key toilets so everyone was using them! The disabled toilets are pretty small, I was really disappointed in the changing placed toilet- I’ve never seen one so small, and again- no radar key! So I waited for kids to come out so I could use it. It also wasn’t sign posted as a changing placed toilet so was hard to find.
