Great fun for all ages

Visit date:

This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid, Mobility Scooter

Overview

Not that good for disabled access a food kiosk is inaccessible to wheelchair/mobility scooter users due to the lack of a slope also an amusement arcade was the same I’ve attached a photo to show the steep slope with a big drop that would tip anyone out of thier mobility aid.

Transport & Parking

3.5

There is disabled parking right at the entrance however it is on very stony ground and extremely rough virtually inaccessible and makes a very very rough ride over it.

Access

5

There is flat ground up to the pay booths after that again there is a rough patch of ground that’s all stony and very hard for myself with back/spinal pain to go over it as it shakes my mobility scooter to pieces.

Toilets

2

The toilet we used wasn’t labelled disabled toilet but just baby changing they had a step up to the toilet which isn’t helpful and the flush chain is too high up to reach the toilet is way too small to manoeuvre any disabled carriage whatsoever the red pull cord was tied up so if anyone had fallen you would not be able to get to it. There was no way of washing after you used the loo as whatever you used to enter it like your mobility scooter it blocked the sink you would have to get out of your mobility scooter from the right hand side and then get back into it and exit from the left hand side to use the sink and try to reach the paper hand towels. It was just about room for my carer but we had to change places when I needed to wash my hands.

Staff

5

The staff we had contact with are very pleasant. .

Anything else you wish to tell us?

It’s a wonderful place to take children of all ages they have the old time rides like carousel and other big rides for the bravest of people.

Photos

Here is the “ramps” and photo of the high step the amusement arcade which isn’t accessible to disabled guests. This is the ramp which people could fall off of. The arcade with a high step. Accessible toilet which I struggled to use and without my carer I wouldn’t be able to flush as the chain is too high. The red pull cord tied up.
