Overview

A great venue for anybody that needs good access I am an electric wheelchair with very low clearance due to my locking device for the car and got around the whole venue with no trouble whatsoever. The food is also very well priced and I have eaten there about six times now, the food is always been hot and the staff of helped cut it up for my needs. I would not hesitate to recommend them as a great place to go with access to the canal at the back of the pub garden leading to the aqueduct/viaduct less than 2 miles on the canal path.

Transport & Parking

The venue has very good disability parking well marked plenty of space as I drive myself there with a large Mercedes Sprinter van. It is also on a bus route as I know other friends go there with wheelchairs on the bus.

Access

From the car park a ramp has been built around the building from the side to the front door. Then if you want to use the garden there are ramps to 3 different levels of garden with also a gate onto the canal towpath again cannot fault these facilities.

Toilets

Sorry I have not checked out the loos but a friend of mine has said they were very good when she went in with her electric wheelchair.

Staff

I had an excellent experience with the staff and when I asked them to cut of the meet into bite-size pieces before they brought it to my outside table they did it with a smile and the food was still hot which sometimes it is not while waiting for it to be cut up.

Behind the pub there is an excellent towpath which takes you to the Chirk viaduct and aqueduct which is very easy to cross using my chair then you have access into Chirk which is a nice village and an excellent afternoons trip.
