There is a lot of free parking overlooking the iconic watchtower on the jetty and beautiful views all round.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
The parking areas are unsurfaced and quite rough but just manageable with a wheelchair. The old stone quay is rough to start with and then becomes cobbled but there is a concrete area along the side which is easier to wheel on. There are picnic tables on the grass at the South parking area.

There are two large, though rough, parking areas, one to the South of the village which is near the old stone jetty and one to the North.
Accessible Toilets

The toilets are in the North parking area, which has always seemed odd to me since most people head to the jetty at the South side. Sadly, the former portacabin toilet, which was roomy and had grips on both sides, is out of order and seems to have been for some time as there are now two small portaloos. (The only downside of the old toilet was that the concrete ramp started with a grassy area - see last picture.) It's good that the council has put temporary toilets there, but as with many portaloos they are not suitable for wheelchair users. Both are small and one is up a fairly high step. The other has a level entrance (see picture 6) but has a grassy slope in front of the entrance (picture 5.) There are no grab rails and not enough room for a wheelchair, The nearest accessible toilets are the portacabin ones at Ardwell and Drummore. Full marks to the council for stating this on the door of the closed toilet, although the Ardwell ones shut for the winter at the end of September.

Additional Information
We know that Port Logan doesn't have tarmac and blue badge parking, or much in the way of facilities but it is still a beautiful spot and well worth visiting. It is three or four minutes drive from Logan Gardens - see my previous review of the gardens. The TV series '2000 Acres of Sky' was filmed here in 2001-2003. .
