Portobello Promenade

Portobello is Edinburgh's charming sea side. It is a great place to potter along or take a seat and admire the views.

We love ‘Porty Prom’. It’s a few km long with the sea on one side and tarmac all along. In the summer it’s very busy with visitors and locals alike. The middle section has some great cafes , bars and takeaway places. There are plenty of places to stop, sit and watch the world go by… there are also places where there are ramps onto the beach itself. There are accessible loos by the Oscars shack and on bath street near the Co Op.

I visited the promenade with some friends where I enjoyed the sun, fresh air and some fish&chips! Overall the promenade is amazing but I wanted to talk about the toilets as well which knocks some points off for me.
