I prefer an access room with a walk in shower or at the very least grab handles for a shower over a bath. I also need twin beds. As this room facility was not advertised at this hotel on the Premier Inn website, I phoned the Premier Inn call centre and 'Jerome' took my details and said he would instruct the Premier Inn accordingly. On arrival at the hotel, the one reception desk staff had received the message from Jerome but told me fairly bluntly that they do not have an access room with twin beds. No apology was offered. I had to accept a regular twin room and was told there were a few steps to access the room. In fact, there were two sets of 3-steps to access the room with a bannister one one side only. The bath had in built grab handles but nothing else to hold onto apart from the pipe to the shower head. Disabled parking right outside but no EV charging. Easy access to the reception desk - automatic door. Second door to the rooms needs key car access. Next door Beefeater restaurant had easy access but I did not investigate the toilet facilities.
