I am a disabled person and a carer or friend of a disabled person and a general supporter of disabled access. I have experience of challenges around: a hidden impairment, accessing toilets, dexterity or coordination and moving around.

There are doors that are left open at all times, so access to the store is not an issue. Inside the store there are two lifts to the upper level alongside up/down escalators for those able to use them. Plenty of seating dotted around on both levels for anyone needing to use them and the aisles are wide enough for a wheelchair to turn around in. The biggest issue I had was being obstructed by products on the floor, however this is not caused by staff and the misaplaced items were actively being removed as I went around the store. There are options for manned service when it comes to paying for your shopping or using self-serve. Self serve has a dedicated wheelchair-friendly till that is lower and wider than the others, allowing you space to serve yourself.

Primark is located in a retail park and has shared use of the carpark with other stores in the retail park. There are ample disability spaces alongside regular parking spaces outside the store entrance. However, depending on the time that you are visiting, you may struggle to attain a disabled space if it is during peak visiting times. There is a bus stop a short distance from the store that is accessible via crossing a road (there are dropped kerbs and an island to wait on).

I dropped a shopping bag off the back of my wheelchair on my exit from the till area and a member of staff ran over to pick it up and hand it to me, faster than I could even realise I had dropped it. Very friendly staff and plenty of them to assist with anything you need.
