Located on Princes Street, this stop is ideal for shopping, popping into Princes Street Gardens, hopping on a train at Waverley or catching the Airport Bus.

Good
Princes Street tram stop sits in the middle of the road, with traffic lights on either side and a layout that is easy to navigate. A ramp takes you straight up to the platform, and boarding the tram is level and straightforward. As with other stops in the city, seats are provided under the rain shelters for anyone who needs a rest while waiting. Ticket machines are available, but you can also purchase tickets using the ET app. The platform edges have tactile markings, and there is a help point with braille for anyone needing information or wanting to call for assistance in an emergency. A hearing loop is also included. Signage is minimal but sufficient.

Parking is in short supply as this is a pedestrian-heavy area. However, the stop is close to a public bus route and Edinburgh Waverley train station. If alighting here, please note that Waverley is downhill, which is fine on the way down but not so fun on the way up, particularly for those using walking aids or wheelchairs.
