Excellent

I visited purple daisy gift shop whilst on a shopping trip to Kilwinning looking for a wedding outfit with my mum. Anne-Marie the shop owner in purple Daisy really couldn't have been nicer. She was more than willing to welcome me in in my wheelchair and had made plenty of space for me to get around the shop. Nothing was too much trouble and she was more than willing to move things if I was unable to access them or unable to move around them.

Disabled Access In and Around

Excellent

Kllwinning High Street is pedestrianised except for certain times of the day when traffic is allowed to come down. I would like to warn visually impaired people that it is a shared spaces area so can be difficult to navigate at times it may be worth trying to find out from North Ayrshire Council what the restrictive times are that there will be traffic around.

Parking & Transport

Excellent

On this occasion I travelled by car there is a car park situated just behind the main shops in Kilwinning and also accessible parking spaces on Kilwinning High Street itself.

Accessible Toilets

Bad

There were no accessible toilets that I will was aware of and perhaps this is something that I would suggest to the local council the installation of a changing places accessible toilet would be a real asset to the team and perhaps could be located within the grounds of Kilwinning Abbey as it is right in the centre of the town and I will on visitor attraction.

Staff

Excellent

All the staff within the local shops were very helpful and welcoming and keen to make me feel safe and welcome. Anne-Marie in purple Daisy was very welcoming and keen to help me get around the shop.
