Overview
Good points. Receptionist carried out a Personal Emergency Plan with me when checking in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Accessibility was very good in the public areas. Accessible bedroom was spacious but bed was too high for me. Bathroom was well appointed- bars on both sides of toilet and in shower. There was no shower seat but maybe they provide one if asked. Breakfast was good and some items served at the table for extra cost. Bad points. Toilet is VERY low. I really struggled even with the rails. The restaurant is also the bar. It was cold near the door and very noisy. There was a Snug - but up 4 steps. No good for a wheelchair user. Staff did find us a warmer position.
Transport & Parking
Bus stop outside the door seems to be used as a drop off point but only takes 2 cars. 2 disabled spaces beside the hotel but one had a cherry picker parked in it! Multi-story car park nearby and hotel says it has a deal with them. My husband paid in hotel and was given a ticket but wouldn’t lift the barrier when he put it in. Had to get an assistant to help who reluctantly let him out. I see from reviews other people have said the same thing.
Access
All public access good. 3 lifts and accessible toilet on ground floor. Noisy for people with hearing impairments. Steps to Snug.
Toilets
Accessibility good in toilet.
Staff
Really helpful and friendly.
