The Rising Sun Countryside Centre is situated in Rising Sun Country Park, a 162 hectares natural green oasis in the heart of North Tyneside. The Centre hosts events, conferencing facilities, a cafe with a sun terrace overlooking Swallow Pond. The wider park is open all times of the day, all year round with free admission. The Centre opening times vary and can be viewed at www.northtyneside.gov.uk/parks There is rich and diverse wildlife and the Swallow Pond lake area is a Local Nature Reserve.

Disabled Access at Rising Sun Countryside Centre

The Countryside Centre is accessible for disabled people and there is disabled parking within the Centre Grounds. All accessible trails are clearly colourcoded and a map is available with full details. The Green and Blue trails are wheelchair accessible. Pathways for all is based in the The Tim Lamb Centre at the Rising Sun Country Park and offers activities and events for children and young people aged 0 to 25 with disabilities and special needs and their families.
