Rochdale Pioneers Museum celebrates the birthplace of the modern co-operative movement - 31 Toad Lane, Rochdale. At the museum we have exhibitions exploring the history of British Co-ops, especially the Rochdale Pioneers Society, credited with creating the blueprint of a modern retail co-operative. Our friendly team are always willing to chat and answer any questions visitors may have, we also hold regular community events and strive to be a safe and welcoming space for all.
As of January 2026 - drop in visits to the museum will no longer be free.
We are implementing a charge for over 18 only, with a 12 month pass for £7.
Group tour prices will also be going up, and this will be advertised on our website.
