Overview

As you enter the driveway, Well laid out grounds offer delightful views around the estate. (Photo 1) There are trees and shrubs that line the view towards the Hall (photo 2) and a path right next to disabled bays welcome you forward to view behind the hall (photo 3) which takes you to the delightful terrace area (photos 4 & 5) A small fountain stands in centre of well maintained lawns highlighting the shrubs and trees beyond (6). There are extensive grasslands with lovely views (7) and a small lake with weeping foliage draping over the well maintained lake (photo 8). Beyond the hotel lies the converted barns that now house the Modern Spa (photo 9) with its level sliding doors for the entrance into the Spa and health club (10) where you will be greeted by the receptionist (11) and taken into the indoor pool (12) which is a very nicely furnished and tiled pleasant area. Natural light fills the 17m glass roofed swimming pool (photo 13) overlooked by the 12 stations of the hydrotherapy pool (photo 14) and across the tiled floor area to a steam room (15) and for those who wish, a sauna is available. A large changing room acts as the disabled toilet with modern facilities that include grab rails and pull cord, which has space for the largest of chairs to be taken inside (photo 16) A handy accessible lift stands by (photo 17) big enough for your chair and a carer, who will hold down the button to enable lift to take you to the gym and exercise areas, which has all the latest modern aquipment you need (18) and if you are that keen, weights of all descriptions (19) and the large training room holds classes for various activities during the day (photo 20).

Transport & Parking

4.5

The main hotels car park offer disabled bays very close to entrance, and separate parking facilities if needed for the Spa facilities.

Access

4.5

Hotel and separate Spa facilities have level entrances, and all areas inside are then on the level, making it possible for chairs to move around quite easy as you explore. There is a lift for hotel and another for spa.

Toilets

4

Public Disabled toilets on ground floor are reasonably good, lots of space inside where a wheelchair could be taking into toilet, it has grab rails and pull cord, and as expected here, very clean and tidy. The Spa has a huge disabled toilet which acts as changing room as well, but it is also spotlessly clean, with hand rail and pull cord.

Staff

4.5

Extremely friendly, and so willing to support disabled.
