Good food, not a great place for wheelchair users New

Overview
Good, but needs improvement.
Transport & Parking
Upminster Station is nearby and is step-free to all platforms EXCEPT Platform 6 (which serves the Romford shuttle train). Staff at Upminster Station are very sweet and alert, and ramp assistance is top-notch.
Access
The ramped entrance is difficult and for some wheelchair users will be positively dangerous. The ramped gradient part of the path leading to the door is ridiculously short and steep and I do not wish ever to try to negotiate this again. This clearly hasn't been thought through properly with wheelchair users in mind. The toilet situation is absolutely ridiculous - see below. The background music is much too loud: it's intrusive, and anyone with hearing loss will struggle to make conversation with this dreadful noise in the background.
Toilets
Before we went to eat here, we were told that there is an accessible toilet. There is an accessible toilet. Which is to say, it's a toilet configured perfectly adequately like any other accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users (as I learnt from my ambulant friend who used it). But it's not accessible. I was unable to get inside it because the passageway leading to it is RIDICULOUSLY narrow and less than two-thirds the width of any wheelchair. What is the point in having an accessible toilet if a wheelchair user cannot get to it? If it wasn't such an outrageous piece of thoughtlessness, it would be funny. I don't find it funny. Zero stars.
Staff
Whilst the staff were all charming and friendly, and the service was excellent, two stars are lost for the utter thoughtlessness of (a) creating a dangerously steep ramp at the entrance (b) making an "accessible" toilet totally inaccessible to wheelchair users. Very disappointing indeed.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I enjoyed the food. I like the decor. It was a pleasure to interact with the staff. But as for the rest - stay away if you're a wheelchair user.
