YMCA is the largest and the oldest Christian charity working with young people in the world. Across England there are 114 YMCAs. Each one is a thriving and active community. At Thames Gateway we work in many diverse areas: Supported & Move on Accommodation; Health & Wellbeing programmes and activities; Family & Children’s work as well as delivering multiple community outreach programmes. We believe everyone can and should enjoy physical activity; your health and fitness is not out of reach with us. We provide opportunities for everyone, whatever your level, to get active and stay active, have fun and meet new friends! Regular exercise is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle, whoever you are. It will improve your mood, increase energy as well as combat and avoid many health conditions. Better than that, it is a great way to meet people and have fun while you increase your confidence. We work with people of all ages and ability to break down barriers to fitness; everyone is welcome and you do not need to be fit to join us!
