Why can't more hotels do this?

The bathroom (see photos). Staff, food etc excellent.

A Great Place to Stay

They really try to help disabled guests, particularly in the way they have bathrooms in two disabled rooms. We stayed in the suite and some of the doors involved careful steering although my wheelchair is not wide. Bathrooms have Devon rails beside toilet and chairs on wheels in shower. You can access basins from chair.

Disabled Access at Rothay Manor Hotel & Restaurant

We have 2 bedrooms designed for guests with mobility problems. Our Classic Groundfloor Bedroom and Loughrigg Suite are adapted in line with M2 accessibility guidelines. Both provide spacious accommodation with bathrooms adapted for wheelchair users - level entry showers, raised toilets, grab rails. Shower Chairs and stools are available. The Hotel has a specific wheelchair entrance and ramp is provided for the single step at the front door. Inside the hotel there is level access to the restaurant, bar lounge, drawing room and reception, as well as accessible toilet.
