Kerb free access to the beach from the parking spaces. Whilst it was a warm, overcast day, there were still plenty of spaces at 11am. These had mainly gone by the afternoon when the sun had come out.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
Lots of parking, free to blue badge holders.
Accessible Toilets
0I didn't find the accessible loo, but a local website said that there was one at the Appley Bay end of the beach. We drove past Appley Bay which looked lovely, and also had ramps to the sand.

Hi, we realise it's over 10 years since you visited and wrote this review, but we’d love for you to visit the beach again since our improvements in 2024. From May to September, there’s a long boardwalk providing easier access to the beach. Our Changing Places facility, located next to the public toilets at Eastern Gardens and about 30m from the start of the boardwalk, is also open during this period, and we hope to make it available year-round from April 2026. Additionally, in July and August, you can book a free sand or sea wheelchair, managed by the lifeguards at the North Walk Lifeguard Station, just behind the Big Kahuna Café. We’d be delighted to welcome you back!
