Sagrada Família

We visited in August 2024 and it was fantastic. You go to the signposted disabled entrance and there is a lift up to the ground floor. All the floors are flat or ramped. People with mobility issues are unable to go up the towers due to 60m of steps. There is a steep ramp down to the disabled toilets, shop, and the basement museum. Staff were very polite and happy to help.

This building is beyond annoying that I have ever seen before. There is so much detail and historical inside and out. Please remember to BOOK IN ADVANCE, you cannot turn up and expect admission, it is always busy. Wheelchair accessible apart from one section, with accessible toilets throughout.

The Sagrada Famillia is a highlight of Barcelona and I would recommend anyone visiting the city to check it out. The majority of the cathedral is wheelchair accessible, with lift access from street level into the cathedral. Once inside the cathedral it is simply breathtaking, with audio and visual guides to support your experience. The cathedral is still under construction, and is scheduled to be completed in 2026 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death.
