Good

I'm a huuuuuge nerd, and I wear that badge proudly. That's why I love popping by Seabraes Viewpoint. Others go to Dundee and cheer about the V&A and The McManus Gallery, but not me - this is my idea of art. There's something wondrous about an unexpected discovery, and this was certainly an unexpected find (the first time around).

Disabled Access In and Around

Good

There are plenty of benches in the gardens, and the route around the trees is tarmacked. The seats within the trees and flowers are difficult to get to due to the combination of stone and gravel within the garden. I managed with a wheelchair and power attachment, but I worry those with smaller front wheels may run into trouble. There are also stairs up to the viewpoint if you are not coming via Perth Road. The stairs have handrails on either side and in the middle.

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle

There is on-street parking across the road on Airlie Place, with a few accessible parking spaces. However, the spaces are side-on to the pavement and have no hatched markings. There are standard spaces on Perth road but I don't recall any accessible parking spaces, and the road can get busy. A rather convenient bus stop can be found just outside the gardens. Dundee railway station is just over half a mile away, but there is a bit of a climb up to Perth Road and the pavements were not the best.
