Socktopus is a fun shop located on North Road in Brighton. It’s easy to spot with it’s bright blue exterior and provides floor to ceiling displays of socks in every design imaginable. They have different animals, flowers, films, TV shows, patterns, and so much more. A lot of the socks are their own brand but they do stock some other brands that also have interesting sock designs. They also had a large collection of children’s socks available too. The shop had lots of space between the displays which made it easy to see all the socks on display. Some of the displays went quite high but staff had let me know they could help me with anything I needed when I arrived.
Disabled Access In and Around

The main entrance had a single door which had been propped open as it was a hot day when I visited. There was a bit of a lip in the doorway but it was manageable. Inside the floor was all smooth with a linoleum style flooring. The walls were full with all the different displays of socks. Along the top of the wall and also along some of the floors there were brightly coloured signs displaying the price per sock pair or a deal which was 3 for £20. The counter wasn’t fully lowered but it was low enough that I could pay without stretching much. Due to it being such a hot day, they had two very large fans in the shop to try and help with the heat and ventilation inside the shop.

There is no dedicated parking but there are some on-street and public car park options in the nearby area. It is roughly 500 metres to the railway station, but some of the roads between the two are quite steep. There is a bus stop around 70 metres down the road where you can get the 3X, 20, 37, 37B, 52, 79, and 98 buses.
