Spire Harrogate Clinic demonstrates a strong and genuine commitment to accessibility, ensuring that all patients and visitors, including those with disabilities, are welcomed and supported throughout their visit. The facility provides step-free and ramped access to all public areas, with clearly marked routes from designated disabled parking bays to the main entrance. Automatic doors, wide corridors, and spacious consultation rooms further enhance ease of movement for wheelchair users and those with mobility aids. Inside, the clinic’s modern design supports comfort and dignity. Waiting areas are open and well-lit, offering appropriate seating and space for mobility equipment. Clear signage and a calm, uncluttered layout assist those with visual or cognitive impairments, while assistive hearing systems are available at reception for visitors with hearing difficulties. The team are trained to help sensitively, ensuring that patients’ individual needs are recognised and met. Main access to the Clinic. Accessible ramped and automatic door entrances are crucial for Health Clinics to ensure legal compliance (e.g., Equality Act 2010 in the UK)) and provide an inclusive, safe, and hygienic environment for all patients and visitors, including those with mobility challenges and staff with equipment. The primary access to the Clinic is by means of a gentle ramp with a non-slip surface and handrails on both sides. Level landings are at the top and bottom of the ramped access and there is an alternative two stepped access also available with handrails on both sides. Access into the Clinic is through automatic swing doors operated by a "touch to open" sensor system allowing easy passage for those with mobility aids or limited strength. Clear directional signage is provided, and good lighting exists in both exterior and interior entrance areas to assist those with visual impairments and prevent falls. Additional assistance is also available by accessible call button and intercom system at a suitable height for individuals requiring assistance to enter. Staff are also trained to be aware of and sensitive to the needs of disabled people and ready to aid. There is a further set of automatic swing doors operated by a "touch to open" sensor system at the end of a wide corridor which leads into a spacious reception area with seating area and access to beverages Reception A welcoming receptionist is always on duty should assistance be required. In addition, there is a seating area should you wish to stop and rest, and a portable induction loop is available with appropriate signage. Wheelchairs are also available for patients to use temporarily while they are in the building for their appointment. Consultation Rooms, Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU) and Discharge Suite. All consultant rooms are spacious and welcoming with clear floor space for a wheelchair to manoeuvre. Examination tables are height-adjustable to facilitate easy transfers. Accessible washroom facilities are also available, with sufficient space, accessible sinks, mirrors, and soap/towel dispensers. The an Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU) focuses on ensuring safety and accessibility ensuring that disabled patients can access these services as easily as non-disabled people. A comfortable and accessible breakout space also exists enabling patients and visitors to step away from clinical settings and accessible, quiet, private rooms are also available ensuring dignity, comfort, confidentiality, and equitable healthcare access.

Transport & Parking Transport Hornbeam Railway Station (adjacent to Premier Inn), which is on the Leeds to York Railway Line, is within 0.3 miles of the premises via Hookstone Road and Hookstone Avenue and has frequent trains. The train operator Northern, offers Passenger Assist, part of a national rail industry scheme that allows disabled and older customers to request journey assistance in advance, ensuring they receive help getting on and off trains, navigating stations, and making connections There are also several bus routes with the main one being route 36 which is the main Leeds to Harrogate to Ripon route and about 0.3 miles from the nearest bus stop on Leeds Road adjacent to Marks and Spencer's Food Hall following Beech Avenue. Transdev are the main bus provider, and buses are designed with low floors, ramps, and designated wheelchair spaces to assist passengers with disabilities and other needs. Drivers are trained to assist with boarding, and the buses are equipped with visual and audible next-stop announcements, hearing loops, and colour-contrasted flooring to help passengers. Passengers needing assistance can also download and use journey assistance cards to communicate their needs to the drive. Parking Effective disabled accessible car park directional signage exists to ensure easy navigation for all users via a one-way system leading to ample free on-site parking including dedicated disabled access parking spaces which is near the main entrance to the clinic.
