A dynamic and creative marketplace
Visit date:
Overview
The popular market has plenty of seating with abundant food trucks, restaurants, creative crafts and designer clothing.
Transport & Parking
I arrived on foot. The market is easily accessible and simple to find. It is well-connected by public transport, with Liverpool Street Station and Shoreditch High Street Station nearby.
Access
The market is open with no enclosed gates, allowing entry from multiple access points. The pathways are flat and free of obstacles or steps. Inside, there are various box-like retail units and food trucks, creating a lively atmosphere where visitors can browse stalls while exploring. There are two types of tables available—some with high stools and others at a lower height, making them accessible for wheelchair users.
Toilets
On the ground floor, there is an accessible toilet and a baby changing facility. However, the ladies' and gents' toilets are located on the basement level, accessible only via a narrow staircase. During my visit, the accessible toilet was occupied, so I was unable to check the interior facilities. If assistance is needed, you can call the concierge team on 020 7377 2883, as indicated on the door.
Staff
I didn't seem to see any market staff, but if you have questions for the vendors and stallholders, they will be happy to answer.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
This is a vibrant market where you can enjoy street food snacks or sit down for a full meal at an independent restaurant. There are also plenty of creative jewelry and decorative items to explore. I think the outdoor seating area would be more accessible for elderly individuals and those who have difficulty standing up if the benches had backrests or grab rails. I would definitely visit again to try more food and take a stroll around nearby Brick Lane.
