I am a carer or friend of a disabled person. I have experience of challenges around: dexterity or coordination, moving around, speaking or communicating and understanding.

Beautiful cottage tastefully and thoughtfully converted for disabled person plus carer/s. Wonderful view of the sea - of the whole bay - from the main room. No profiling bed or hoist, but I guess you can't have everything - dog allowed, hot tub available! Two shops nearby have ramps and swimming pool has hoist. We were given a tour of the island using our own vehicle. No accessible beaches but such lovely views from all the quiet roads. Ferry from Orkney to Westray not great as we had to stay in the van. but all in all a wonderful two weeks. Friends or family can stay in nearby self catering.
