    Excellent

This large changing places toilet is on platform 1 at Stafford train station. To find it, head into the station entrance and continue straight through onto platform 1. Turn left and you’ll see the building in front. There is no ticket barrier to enter, so you can use it without needing to show a ticket. The room is large, well laid out and around a year old, so nice and new. Lots of signage explaining how to use all of the equipment, which includes: - a peninsular toilet - height adjustable sink - height adjustable changing bench with side guard - electric ceiling hoist covering the whole room - shower with removable hose - privacy screen on wheels to move around the room as needed - emergency pull cord - full length mirror - radar key lock - working heater Full video review on my social media channels

This is a large train station on the west coast mainline. There are lifts to all platforms. The station entrance is step free and single level with a manned ticket office, doors into the entrance and ticket office are automatic. There are ceiling height departure screens as well as 2 floor departure screens that are touch screen with BSL interpreters. There are induction loops in the ticket office and waiting rooms and plenty of seating is located around the station, including raised accessible seating

I travelled to this place by train

This is a train station. There are 2 disabled spaces in the drop off area directly outside the station entrance where you can park for free for 20 minutes. To the side of this there is a multistory car park with disabled bays and 2 electric changing disabled bays, this is a paid car park- £12.50 for 24 hours Monday to Friday and £5.50 for 24 hours on weekends.

Accessible facilities: Electric vehicle charging, Dedicated on-site parking, Drop-off or pick up point

    Accessible Toilets

Platform 1, adjacent to the ticket office and entrance has a large changing places toilet and disabled toilet. Both are radar key operated and can be accessed without going through a ticket barrier. The changing places toilet is relatively new and fully accessible. See my photos for more detailed information. The disabled toilet is smaller and older, as a wheelchair user I find the changing places toilet much easier to use.

Facilities: Changing Places toilet with shower, Changing Places toilet, Accessible toilet

    Staff

    Excellent

Staff are very friendly and well trained in passenger assistance and are disability aware. This is my home station and I travel from here often and staff know me by name and couldn’t be any more helpful then they are. I’m always greeted with a smile, they update the passenger assistance app if I need to change carriage/ train. If there are delays they will help me plan a new route and keep me up to date or book a taxi if required. They can also re-route your train to platform one if the lift is broken. I literally cannot fault the staff at this station and I wish all stations were staffed by people like those who work at Stafford.
