To enter Starbucks through the doors you have to be manually opened and they do look quite heavy to open, but someone opened it for me. It may be a good idea to have a doorbell system outside the door to alert staff that someone needs help to open the door Inside Starbucks there are a few different table types, some low and some at a standard height. It wasn’t too busy when we visited and I was able to easily drive around the tables also with my dog attached to my wheelchair. Where you order and pay for your food was very spacious, but their crisp basket was right in front of their cake counter, so it was difficult to get into it to see what was available. I couldn’t reach to pay for our food, but luckily, I was with someone to do it for me. I can imagine staff would be more than happy to help you though.

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle

There are a few disabled parking spaces outside Starbucks, making it easy to access the venue as the kerbs are dipped next to them. There are EV charging ports to the side of the Starbucks building. I don’t use these, but I have included some pictures so people can see the accessibility. The dipped kerb was at the passenger side of the car if you drive in front first and there isn’t another dipped kerb unless you go around on the road to get on to the pavement, so this might make it difficult if someone exits their vehicle from the back. Also, the EV charging screens are quite high up for a wheelchair user to reach, but there are QR codes you can scan. I am not from the area so I cannot comment on the public transport.

Accessible Toilets

There is one accessible toilet in Starbucks which is quite spacious, but you are only able to transfer on to the left-hand side of the toilet as it is against the wall at the other side. There are plenty of grab rails beside the toilet and sink. I’d say the sink is at a good height for wheelchair users, but the mirror was a little high. The accessible toilet I would say is spacious enough for a wheelchair user to get assistance from someone, but I have included a photo within this review of me in the accessible toilet so people can see roughly how much space there is. The closest Changing Places toilet is at the Montrose Playhouse which is a 3-minute drive away.
