    The Parish Church of St John the Baptist is a historic Grade I listed building situated prominently atop Danbury Ridge in Chelmsford. This landmark site, which dates back to at least the thirteenth century, is set within the remains of an ancient Iron Age hill fort. Visitors can explore a Victorian interior designed by George Gilbert Scott, featuring unique wooden effigies known as the Knights of Danbury and intricately carved pew ends.
