Overview

This is a relatively small bus station as there is another, slightly larger, bus station a short walk away from this one. It is an outdoor station with only a few bus shelters providing some covered waiting areas. Stratford City Bus Station is located just around the corner from the entrances to Stratford Tube Station and Westfield Stratford. It has a number of buses that stop here that travel to various parts of London. There's also a coach connection to Stansted Airport. It’s a useful and well-laid out station.

Transport & Parking

5

The closest available parking would be the three paid car parks attached to Westfield Stratford. Stratford Tube Station is right next to this bus station and you are able to get Central, Jubilee, Elizabeth, Overground (Mildmay Line), DLR and National services from there. It’s a busy station with frequent services. This station has four bus stops and a coach stop. The four bus stops can be used to catch the following buses: 97, 108, 241, 308, 339, 388, N205. The coach stop is where you can catch a coach service that takes you to Stansted Airport.

Access

This station is mainly outdoors and the flooring is large paving stones. This has been well-laid and for the most part doesn’t have large gaps or paving stones out of alignment. There is a pelican crossing in the middle of the station where buses pass through. There were some bus shelters by each of the bus stops which had some perching benches and provided some covered shelter. There were also some large concrete benches available to sit on. For those that require step-free access onto any of the buses that stop here, you can either hail the driver as they approach the stop or there is a button located by the middle doors to alert the driver you need the ramp. They will then deploy the ramp from the doors in the middle of the bus. This will then bring you onto the bus, where there is a wheelchair space and priority seating. There is an information point at this bus station but it was closed when I was there and didn’t seem like it was often in use. It did have a lowered counter for those that would have struggled with the height of the window.

Toilets

0

There were no toilets within the bus station but there are accessible toilets in both Stratford Tube Station and Westfield Stratford. There is also a Changing Places Toilet in Westfield Stratford - you can see more about this here.
