Delightful haven but not completely accessible

We visited Talbot House as part of a WW1 history tour. Talbot House was set up as a place where soldiers could visit and have some home comforts, a warm welcome and hospitality. The gardens were meant to be a peaceful place where they could forget about the war. The same ethos remains to this day. There is also now a museum that explains the history of the place.
