Talbot Road tram stop is basically a bit of sidewalk. Trams only stop here on their way to North Station and it is very close to the North Pier tram stops – which also only serve one direction each. Its main use therefore is probably to get off the tram if you want to go to the North Pier area and do not want to go on a detour to North Station first.

The platform is a continuation of the sidewalk. It is set apart by having light-coloured paving instead of a mix of dark and light stones on the sidewalks in the area. There are tactile markings along the edge on the side of the road. There are lowered curbs with tactile markings crossing the tracks to an island in the middle of the intersection on one side of the platform (right when facing the street). There are two more sets of lowered curbs with tactile markings on the traffic island, one to the town hall and one to the other side of Talbot Road. There are no benches, shelters or timetables at the tram stop, only a metal sign with the name. There are wheelchair symbols in the floor of the platform to show where the wider doors are going to be once a tram stops here.

There is some on-street parking in Market Street and Queen Street. North Pier (1, 2, 21) and Promenade Stop 7 (2, 21) bus stops are about 60 metres away around the corner to the right when looking towards the sea. Clifton Street bus stops (3, 3A, 18, 24) are a similar distance across the road and to the left behind the wedge-shaped building.

Staff
Good
I have found the tram staff to be friendly and helpful. Sometimes there will be staff at the tram stops, but more commonly there will be two conductors on the tram who can assist you with boarding and buying your tickets.
