Taza Indian Buffet, Dundee
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair
Overview
All you can eat Indian food restaurant. It is help yourself and you cannot serve yourself from a wheelchair. You will need someone to collect your food. We were in a group and this was not an issue. It has a good accessible toilet. The tables have good separation and you can get a wheelchair underneath. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive.
Transport & Parking
We drove to Dundee for shopping, and parked away from the restaurant on South Crichton St but there are lots of places to park for free in Dundee with a blue badge. Be aware the restaurant has a car park near it but it is private and you will have to pay. The route to the restaurant had crossings with drop down kerbs and traffic lights.
Access
Step free access to the restaurant. The doors are wide. You may need help opening them if on your own. The tables had a good spacing and were in straight lines so it was easy to reach. The wheelchair could easily get under the table. The self service buffet is not accessible as the trays of food are quite high. As a group we managed this easily but if you are on your own you would need to get the staff to help.
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet which has grab rails. It is near the entrance, turn left as you go in. It was a good size for a wheelchair and a carer. It was a clean, pleasant environment.
Staff
The staff were friendly and helpful. I could see the waitress scan the room to find the table she thought would work best for us. When we were shown to our table, the chair was automatically removed from the table by the waitress to enable the wheelchair to get in. The water jug on the table was refilled without us having to ask.
