WW2 US Airbase visit

We are interested in military history and living in East Anglia there is huge history of air bases. Frequent visitors to Duxford (5 *) We have been visiting the US bases. This one is in Thorpe Abbots near to Diss, Norfolk.

Down a long, quiet road there is lots of parking. A few spaces are close to the path but the whole area is flat with minimal gravel.
There are 3 buildings and the control tower. The buildings are all accessible ( we were in a big off road power chair).
There is a cafe (check website for times) but the shop had tins and biscuits. On a previous visit there was a local pub pop-up bbq. Lots of books and merchandise.
The control tower is accessible on the ground floor only and is a tighter fit but we saw most of it and a normal powerchair and a manual would get in all rooms. For the able bodied it is possible to climb to the balcony and the roof. Fabulous views.
This is the 100th bomb group that flew B17s and is featured in the Apple TV Masters of the Air.
Free entry ! But not open all year round. Only specific days.
Reasonable/good disabled toilets.
Worth a visit and could combine with Flixton, tank museum in Long Stratton and many other local air bases and military history.
With a coffee and chat we spent 1.5 + hours here.
The control tower is original so I don't mark it down for not being fully accessible. They have done what they can within the limitations.
