The Anchorage

Wheelchair accessible, phoned ahead and advised a wheelchair user in the party and were given a table with plenty room to manoevere the chair, and a view to boot!Quite a steep slope up to access restaurant, would have struggled if in a manual wheelchair on my own. Needed to get staff to help unlock one of the doors to access, as one side was not wide enough to access, but this was not a problem. Disabled toilet clean, fresh and roomy, plenty room to manoevere wheelchair. Great improvement from my last visit, when there were beer kegs in situ! Only negative comment would be the gravel in the Carpark, making access with chair difficult. Took a hefty bit of pushing from my friend to negotiate it

The Anchorage is a lovely light cafe and restaurant by the ferry in Leverhulme, and the food and staff are very helpful. However, the main door isn't quite wide enough for a wheelchair, and so staff need to unlock the second panel of the door to let you in. There is a good-sized disabled toilet by the door, but sometimes there are empty beer kegs stored here - staff offered to move these very quickly, but maybe these could be kept elsewhere?
