Accessible, friendly, delicious food

I have experience of challenges around: accessing toilets and moving around.

I use or have experience of: disabled toilet, walking aid

Farm shop - very fresh local produce. Easy access around displays.

Gift section of shop. Very spacious. Polished, flat concrete surface throughout. All on one level.

Cafe seating. Well spaced and room round tables for wheelchair or Rollater.

Table service in cafe but pay at till on way out. Staff very helpful.

Pumpkin event on when we visited. Lots of fun for children but gravel surface may not suit all wheelchair users.

1 roomy disabled toilet and baby change area.

Entrance from car park is gravel leading onto flat concrete.

Disabled parking spaces next to front door. Flat path from there into shop/cafe.

Spacious shop with polished concrete floor. Gifts and fresh local produce sold. Staff very helpful and carried box of vegetables out to the car for us.

Toilet access by pull door into this area where disabled toilet is situated. Wide doors but might require help pulling open. Not automatic.

Spacious shop are. Smooth flat polished concrete floor throughout. Pull doors on fridges but staff very helpful.

Ladies toilet area. Very clean and well presented.

Parking right at door and light gravel leads onto flat paving and concrete at entrance. Very smooth. Advise reverse up to building.

Pumpkin event on when we were there. Some available by door to choose from others on field more difficult to negotiate.

Excellent

We really enjoyed our visit to Barrie Box. My husband uses a Rollater. We were able to park right at the entrance and reverse up so getting Rollater out of boot into flat pathing was easy. All surfaces in shop/cafe/toilet area are flat, smooth, polished concrete. Doorways wide. Staff very pleasant and very helpful. Table service in cafe but pay at till on way out although I am sure they would help if you needed it. Staff in shop also very helpful and kindly carried box of vegetables out to our car for us. Food in cafe was delicious and generous helpings. I would say it was noisy in the cafe due to all hard surfaces so for someone with a hearing issue this might be difficult.
