Venue DescriptionThe Beaumont, Jeremy King and Chris Corbin’s first hotel, opened on 29 September 2014. Evoking the elegance and personalised hospitality of pre-war Mayfair, it is grand in style and yet intimate in feel. With 73 rooms, including 23 suites, a particular feature is ROOM, a suite in the form of an inhabitable sculpture by Antony Gormley. The hotel includes a classic Grill Room, an American Bar, a separate Residents’ Bar & Lounge, a Boardroom, and a Gymnasium and Spa with Hamam. All areas of the hotel are wheelchair-accessible.
The entrance and the whole ground floor are accessible through wide doors with no slopes, leading to the Reception area, the American Bar, the Colony Grill Room, a Resident’s lounge and an accessible washroom. All floors and rooms can be accessed via wide lifts that are used by both disabled or non-disabled guests. The lower ground floor features a Spa, hamam and gymnasium; an accessible toilet and the Lotos Room, a private dining room.
The Beaumont has received numerous accolades since it opened: - It was placed on the Condé Nast Traveller (UK) Hot List - And on the Condé Nast Traveler USA, who called it an "Urban Standout" and "A new London classic" - Forbes Life lauded it as "One of the hottest hotel openings in London in 2014" - Luxury Travel Intelligence in 2015 called it their "favourite boutique hotel in London" - In 2016, the readers of Travel & Leisure commended the hotel as one of London's Top Ten in the annual World's Best Awards - In 2017, Condé Nast Traveler USA placed the hotel on its Annual Gold List of its editors' favourite hotels in the world for the 2nd time - The AA Hotel of the Year - London 2016/17, "Impressive hotel ... a great example of something a little unique and different and a very worth winner." - Awarded Blue Badge Style Best Upmarket Hotel for two consecutive years - 2016 and 2017 - "The Beaumont shows that being in an old building is no excuse for not having excellent access.
