The whole of the ground floor of The Cardiff Market is relatively accessible, however the lift is currently out of order (I do not know how long it has been this way) and I was completely unable to visit the second floor. This was disappointing as there is a vinyl record shop there and it was the main reason for my visit to the market itself.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
The entrances to the market are wide and are easily navigated with a wheelchair if they are open as they are manual and quite heavy otherwise. The walkways inside are very wide and simple to traverse for anyone with mobility issues. There is seating outside the many cafes and a lift to the upper level tucked away in the corner near one of the entrances alongside stairs if you are able to use them.
Accessible facilities: Step-free entrance, Step-free access to most areas, Lift to all areas
Parking & Transport
Average
I travelled to this place by walk or wheel
There isn't any dedicated parking for The Cardiff Market itself, however it is relatively close to public bus links. A fair distance away is Cardiff Central train station, bus station and access to the taxi rank located outside of the train station. Multi-storey carparks are spread out across the city centre and if you are lucky, you may find an empty spot on a street somewhere.
Accessible Toilets
There are public toilets located in the market, however I did not use the facilities so cannot comment on them whatsoever.
Staff
Excellent
The many stallholders we interacted with were friendly and made me feel welcome as a customer in the market.
