St David's Hall

My experience has been based on two occasions both have been very good experiences with caring staff, very good seating for people who use wheelchairs and they are part of the hynt card system in Wales which enables a carer to be free with the person who requires help. The hynt card is free and covers many venues in Wales so is well worth getting.

Wheelchair access was simple. The doors are heavy but everyone was really helpful. The disabled toilets are not separate but in the women's toilets (I believe the men's would be the same) when I joined the que the girls queing said to me go in the disabled toilets are in there. You go ahead. I was really touched. Easy disabled access special area for seats. I did have to ring for disabled seating it isn't possible online. Also if you get a free hynt card (if you live in wales) it is valid for 5 years and gets your carer in for free. The card accesses many more venues across wakes so next time I will be prepared. The show was amazing and we did have seating (I had a gap for my chair) that gave us a brilliant view!

Easy to get into via covered ramp area, and there's a lift to all floors. There is only one lift though, but after events the lift attendants clear floor by floor rather than stopping on every floor when it's full. Wheelchair seats are back row of the stalls, accessed via level 3. Can be a tight squeeze, but brilliant position. Gents accessible lav is inside the main gents. Honestly not that accessible as you have to squeeze along the urinals to get to it. Ladies accessible lav is also in the main ladies. There may be better provision on other floors?
