Nice distillery with very good whisky
We had been meaning to visit this distillery for ages, as long-time whisky fans. The tour of the distillery is not wheelchair accessible, but they do offer a video alternative. The tasting area and shop are fully wheelchair accessible. We have both been to distilleries before, and my husband was driving - so we split the ticket (having phoned and checked we could): he did the tour (while I had lunch) and then I did the tastings.
My husband said the tour was very interesting, and I really enjoyed the tastings - bought a bottle.
On the same site is the Grain Kitchen restaurant, where I had a nice light lunch.
There are several tours available at the distillery - different times and different days of the week. They can be booked online, as can reservations in the restaurant. Carers may go free - but only if they spend the whole time with the disabled person (hence us splitting the ticket). Guide dogs welcome, but not other dogs.
On the website there are suggestions of places to stay (we found the George Hotel through this), and a river side walk (didn't do)
