The Exchange is a small shopping arcade in the centre of Nottingham. It has been there for 85 years and has glass domes in the ceiling which are a cool design and it’s a Grade II* listed building. Unfortunately, when I visited, it seemed really rundown and almost like it was closing down. Half of the shops in there were completely empty and of the few that were still there and open, they were very quiet. The atmosphere inside made it feel like it wasn’t being cleaned or taken care of at all and so I ended up leaving very quickly. There were automatic doors at the entrances and the shops all had level access to get into them. But it wasn’t a nice experience because of the state of the venue.

The entrances into the shopping arcade had automatic sliding doors which opened as you approached. The flooring inside was a smooth stone tiling which was easy for me to roll across. The domes in the ceiling provided a lot of natural light. The shops all had tall glass displays in the front next to the doors inside them. There were also signs that hung from the walls above each shop with their name or logo on it.

There aren’t any parking options super close because it’s right in the centre of the city. It’s very close to the Old Market Square tram stop.
