    About

The Fenn Bell is very proud to hold Medway’s first zoo licence. All our animals you see here have come through rescue or from other zoos. We aim to give these animals a safe and enriching environment to live in. We are very proud of what we have built here at the Fenn Bell and do lots of work with schools on educating youngsters on these animals. We hope that you will see and understand the work and commitment that goes into what we do.

    A Small Zoo in Kent

We had a good time, it is a small zoo, nice pathways and wooden bridges to walk around to see the animals, very easy for people with walking problems, nice and wide. Some of the sign’s to say what was in the enclosures were missing, and some were too small to see as too far away, some of the enclosures were empty but no signs saying "there are no animals in this enclosures" would be nice. There is a good play area for the children and seating to eat food, with lots of climbing frames etc. You can pop out to the pub next door as they stamp your hand so you can go back and forth to get some food & drink, then come back in to eat it, was a little wait for the food. There was a very good Disabled toilet and changing room in the middle of the zoo and was very big, nice and clean. The Zoo backs onto some premises which have Lorries, so not sure if this would upset the animals when the lorry’s starts up as you can see from one of my photos There are 2 car parks, 1 small by the entrance and an overflow one. Bad things were: No Disabled Parking bays No Discounted Rates for Disabled and\or Career or OAP, all adults were £8.00 (as of 01-10-2022) We would go again but on a week day, we went on a Saturday and there were a lot of kids running around, other than that very nice and clean
