Overview
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, to visit Norwich and nearby sites. The hotel website gives the option of booking an accessible room directly. The photos of the bathroom did not show the toilet, so I phoned to check about grab rails on both sides of the toilet - yes. We booked online through booking.com - they didn't email a confirmation, so phoned the hotel again, and they sent a confirmation immediately. The accessible room is not in the main building, but in a building at the back. It is up a slight concrete ramp with a level stretch outside the entry door. From the bottom of the ramp, it is a level passage to the reception, the bar and restaurant, with another slight ramp at the entrance. Wet room, tea making facillities, adjustable air conditioning (might be difficult to adjust from a wheelchair - my husband dealt with it), large double bed, small table and chairs The double bed was very soft, which made it difficult for me to move in it - but it might be what some people appreciate. It was a good height for transfers from the wheelchair. The wet room had horizontal grab rails on both sides of the toilet, and another 2 vertical grab rails handily placed. There was also a small hand basin reachable from the toilet, as well as a main basin. There was no fixed shower seat, though a movable quite sturdy one supplied. We ate both nights in the restaurant and had lovely meals - wide range of dishes, allergens taken note of and adjusted for. Breakfast had cooked or cold buffet options. I had full Norfolk breakfast first morning, and poached haddock and egg the second - again plenty of choice. The buffet section of the breakfast room was reached via a slight ramp and through the bar, or you could eat in the restaurant section.
Transport & Parking
We drove. There was one dedicate blue badge bay by the entrance (but under a large oak tree shedding acorns), However, plenty of parking available. We parked right beside our room.
Access
Toilets
Accessible toilet in our room - did not check if there was one in the public area.
