The Jolly Botanist is a lovely gin bar is located close to Haymarket station on Morrison Street in the West End of Edinburgh. The venue is almost perfect except for the small step at the entrance which would be ok for accompanied wheelchair users but difficult for power chair users. The staff were pretty friendly but said that they did not have a ramp and there did not seem to be a plan to get one.

Apart from the step at the front door there is good access and the pub and bar is spacious and a nice place to be.
Parking & Transport
Good
There are many bus stops nearby both on Dalry road, Morrison St & West Maitland St. There is limited parking on Morrison Street but plenty in the Dalry road area and other neighbouring streets.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
The loo is to the right of the bar as you enter. It is a good size for bigger wheel/power chairs and has an emergency cord.
Staff
Excellent
The staff were friendly and happy to answer questions about accessibility. They did not seem to know about any ramp having been ordered as per the last review.
