The Lake House is a tranquil and luxurious 5 bedroom (all with en-suite) self catering house on the Silverlake Estate that accommodates up to 10 guests. It is perfect for intergenerational groups and guests with mobility needs. Two of the upstairs bedrooms are accessible twins with en-suite wetroom. The house overlooks a beautiful lake from the large rear deck or balconies. On the wider estate there is a heated pool with hoist access, spa with treatment rooms, gym, bar/terrace and more.

Disabled Access at The Lake House

The driveway of the house includes a level hard standing area for 2 large accessible vehicles, providing gravel and step free access to the widened front door. Throughout the ground floor there is level hard flooring and access on to a strengthened wooden decking at the rear of the property. The dining table is at a raised height for powerchair users or the furniture raisers can be removed for manual wheelchair users. There is extended leg room at the breakfast bar (raised height). The kitchen basin/ oven/ hob are not wheelchair accessible. The sitting area of the kitchen has 2 four seater sofas and 2 armchairs attached round a coffee table. One side of the coffee table is clear of furniture for wheelchair users. The lounge also has two large sofas and an ottoman. One sofa can be moved to the other end of the room, and the rug rolled up, to allow easier access by wheelchair users. There is level access out of all the sliding doors in both the kitchen and lounge. The 5 bedrooms upstairs can be accessed by a through floor lift. Bedrooms 3 and 4 have had floors, an electric profiling bed (one Bakare and one centrobed), H track ceiling hoists with transfer rail from bedroom to wetroom. In bedroom 3 the bed is a small 120cm double. I'm bedroom 4 it is a large 105cm single. There is also a single bed in both rooms. In bedroom 3 this van be flipped up to vertical to provide more floor space for a wheelchair user. There are lowered sensor light switches and raised sockets with usb ports. The bedside lights are touch sensor operated for ease. Electric blinds can be controlled from a switch by the doorway. The wardrobes are open to make clothes more visible to a wheelchair user although the hanging rail does not pull down. There are remote control fans. The wetrooms have toilets with drop down rails, shower benches, and sensor taps at the basin. The showers have extra long shower hoses and a grab rail. In bedroom 4 the toilet is a wash / dry closomat toilet.
