Overview

Enjoyed our stay at The Leddie - welcoming staff and a comfortable, if somewhat small room. A lovely breakfast freshly cooked to order and a great dinner, from a menu with a good choice. We liked the compact size of the place and the lounge. I’m currently able to manage a few steps, otherwise this hotel would not have been suitable.

Transport & Parking

3.5

We travelled by car and were able to park in the street close to the hotel, but I suspect this might be harder in high season. The hotel does have its own parking at the rear but access is via a narrow entrance which we were warned against due to difficulty negotiating the angle on exit.

Access

4

There is level access to the hotel via the main entrance. However, the ground floor rooms can only be reached via the courtyard which involves 3 steps or the driveway to the car park which involves one step. I was told there is a ramp from the car park but using that would require staff assistance to open the door from the inside.

Toilets

4

There is a spacious disabled toilet but it is within the “bathroom” area which is accessed via a very heavy door. The toilet itself had plenty of room, numerous grab rails and was very clean.

Staff

4

Staff were generally very friendly and helpful.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The bedroom was very small and definitely not suitable for a wheelchair user as there was no room to manoeuvre. However, the shower was at floor level, step-free so might suit some with limited mobility, although inevitably there were no grab rails in the en suite.
